Colorado's fall season lasted about a good 2 weeks. It was only 14 days ago that I was sitting in 80 degree weather at a Rockie's Baseball game and now I'm holed up in my apartment staring at the 3 inches of snow and ice outside. So much for those golden Aspen's and pumpkin spice latte's. Now we're moving on to ice scrapers and snow boots. I must admit that cold weather is the perfect excuse to hide yourself indoors for a weekend. I dusted off the old cookbook and went to town with recipes including beef stew, beer cheese bread, pumpkin ginger cupcakes, and spinach gruyere strata. And to my surprise, the fire detector didn't sound once. Success!
