one point michigan :: zero colorado

I'm only on my 4th blog and I'm already slacking. Just remembered that I needed to update it in case those 2 people that actually read this want to hear something new. Thank you mom. Thank you Grandma.

Well another successful weekend for the books. Wait I lied, not quite sure why I said that. I think this warm weather is warping my memory a bit. I had to work this weekend. Which isn't unusual considering the agency I work at but for some reason working this past weekend has left a bitter taste in my mouth. Most likely because we had amazing weather here and I had to spend part of that in a warehouse without any windows. Or because I was having a perfect afternoon in the sun drinking beers on the patio with my cousins Scott and Jennifer and had to cut it short and head into work.

Moving on from that less than thrilling topic...Jason and I met up with Jen and Scott Sunday AM for a mountain bike ride. Apparently I've been babied so far in the world of mountain biking because Sunday kicked my ass. All the way up and all the way back down. 8 miles of pedaling against gravity in the scorching sun. Who does that voluntarily? I think you Michiganders had a good thing going when you said "Screw those mountains, lets live here and get lazy and float on water. Oh, and don't forget to pack the cooler". I miss home.

After the ride we came back to Jen & Scott's house and sat on the patio with some brews. At this point I had to head into work only to watch Jason dig his butt deeper into the seat and crack another beer. Lucky guy. By the time I was done at work (5 hours later) I made my way back over to their house only to find everyone EXACTLY where I left them. Same seats, different drinks. I couldn't have been more proud.

Oh and a quick update, Jason got a new job. He's going to be working at an advertising agency in Denver as an Art Director on the Coors account. Too bad their beer sucks but their advertising will soon be amazing! Congrats Jason!

Welp that's it for today folks. Love you!
